The most useful thing we can do is make a piece that lasts long enough that nobody needs to buy a second one. That shapes small decisions everywhere: covers unzip so they can be washed instead of thrown out, timber is oiled rather than lacquered so marks can be sanded back, and hardware is solid brass so it can be unscrewed and reused.
Where we can repair something, we would rather do that than replace it. If a cover tears or a fitting fails, write to us — in most cases we can send a part.
We are a small company and we are not going to claim this is a solved problem. We publish what we know and keep working on the rest.
